I've never done a triathlon as I'm a very very weak swimmer but it is something I want to do. I plan to take some swimming lessons next year and then made try a short tri. Ultimately, I'd love to do an Iron-man.
This is an incredible video. It makes tears stream down my face when I watch it.
The Running Shoe Mileage Myth
-
How many miles have these running shoes covered? 100 miles? 200? Would it
surprise you to discover that they have just hit the 500 mile mark?

i too am aquatically challenged but would love to complete in an off road tri. i love the fact that you're aiming high-start with a short then straight to an ironman....that's exactly what i would do to ;)
I'm never going to impressive people with my lightening quick times so I have to go long and do the endurance stuff. I would only learn to swim and do triathlons in order to do an ironman and I imagine, once it was done, I'd retire from the triathlon game. I want to have a crack at a couple of Ultra-marathons first so maybe an ironman for my 40th birthday in 3 years. Or maybe I should just concentrate on getting my fat arse up Hardknott pass in 2 weeks.
nah, you've pretty much doe the fw now. need to start planning for the next ridiculous feat ;)
